How to duplicate a course?

This article goes over how to duplicate a course on your Knorish site.

You might want to duplicate a course to keep an extra copy for backup, or if you would like to build a new course that uses parts of the same curriculum as an existing course.

This article shows you step by step on how to achieve that.

Steps to duplicate a course

In order to duplicate the course, please follow the below steps: 

• Login to your Knorish account
• Access dashboard < Courses
• Select the course you want to duplicate
• Click on the Duplicate button
• Choose the content that you want to include in the duplicate course
• Click on Yes, Duplicate to confirm
• The course will be duplicated immediately.

What all gets duplicated?

• The following content types are duplicated automatically:
• Videos
• PDFs
• Embedded Content
• Assessments
• Page Builders
• Downloadable files of the chapter
• Do note that live sessions and live events content types are not duplicated.

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS:

• The duplicate course will be denoted with an alphanumeric text in the title (e.g. - Painting for Beginners -aek212454 Copy). You can change the name of the duplicated course in the settings later.
• Chapters without any content will not be duplicated during the course duplication process. This means that if a chapter does not contain any videos, PDFs, embeds or downloadable file, it will not be included in the duplicated course.
• All downloadable files added to the existing course are automatically duplicated and do not require  your intervention.
