How to setup MX records (Email account) for your custom domain connected with Knorish

This article shows how to integrate an email service with your Knorish Site. There are several email Services which are available for sending and receiving emails with your domain name. In this article, we have considered the most commonly used ones such as Gmail, Outlook and Zoho Mail for sending and receiving emails. To enable using any of these emails, you would need to update the MX (mail exchange) Records on Cloudflare. The MX record indicates how email messages should be routed in accordance with Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP, the standard protocol for all email.)

Gmail: Setup Gmail with Cloudflare

Here's how to setup MX Records for Gmail.

Step 1: Verify your domain on Google

You can only use the Gmail service after the domain is verified. As such, please follow the steps listed in Step 1 to get your domain verified. This may take some time for verification. Once the account is verified, then refer to step 2.

Once these steps are done, the process will allow you to send and receive emails from your email service. Ensure to check on the timelines for the process to be completed.

Important Considerations:

1. Please ensure to follow the steps point by point and add all the information per MX server address.
